In March, two upgraded products, including “cold‑formed steel tubes for tower crane main chord members,” reached a domestically leading level, with certain technical specifications attaining internationally advanced standards.

October: The product was applied to China’s first expressway—the Shanghai–Jiaxing Expressway. The crash‑worthy guardrail received the Shanghai Municipal Excellent Engineering Award, and the barrier fence was honored with the Shanghai Municipal Superior Award. (According to cumulative statistics as of 2004, the company has participated in more than 150 domestic expressway safety‑guardrail projects, earning numerous accolades; some materials have also been exported overseas.)
