On April 28, 2018, our company obtained the IATF 16949:2016 certification issued by the French Standards Association (AFNOR).
The full name of the IATF 16949 system is “Quality Management Systems — Particular Requirements for Automotive Production Parts and Related Service Parts, ISO/TS 16949:2015.” The latest version currently in use is T. F1249:.2D16. Based on the ISO 9001 standard, it integrates the management principles and requirements of QS‑9000 and VDA 6.1. It was jointly developed by a specialized organization—known as the IATF—established by the world’s leading automotive manufacturers and associations to harmonize international automotive quality‑system standards and eliminate redundant certification efforts by suppliers under multiple, disparate standards. The IATF’s members include BMW, Chrysler, Daimler AG, Fiat Group Automobiles, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Peugeot, Renault, Volkswagen AG, as well as supervisory bodies from five countries: the American Automotive Oversight Board (AOB), the Italian National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ANFIA), the French Federation of Automotive Equipment Industries (FIEV), the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) of the United Kingdom, and the Quality Management Center of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA‑QMC).
The IKT16D4e system is a single, globally recognized quality management standard and registration procedure accredited by TAT. Its certification under TkTP1.BR4 also confirms compliance with the requirements of I5090.1, signifying that the organization’s quality management system has achieved mutual recognition among major automotive manufacturers worldwide and qualifies it to supply components and services to the automotive industry’s supply chain. Furthermore, I13840 places greater emphasis on process‑based audits and the fulfillment of customer‑specific requirements, thereby helping to enhance internal product quality, strengthen competitive positioning, and improve customer satisfaction.
The certification of this system has laid the foundation for our official entry into areas such as high-strength steel for buses, which is also great news for the bus industry. We will continue to provide professional cold‑formed products and premium services to an increasing number of bus manufacturers and customers.
